Hickory Point Bank and Trust (HPB&T) is committed to maintaining confidentiality of all customer financial records.  We believe bank customers have a right to expect that their financial information and activities will not be disclosed to third parties or affiliates of the bank.  In order to offer you the financial products and services that you seek, we collect, maintain, and use information about you on a routine basis.  To help you better understand how your personal information is protected here at HPB&T, we are providing you with the following statement describing our practices and policies with respect to the privacy of customer information.  It is the policy of HPB&T to follow the rules of the Privacy of Consumer Financial Information in all cases except where Illinois Law prevails.

Internet Protocol Addresses
An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number automatically assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet. This number does not identify your name, e-mail address or other personal information.

Cookies
The bank may use a software “cookie” when you access our PC banking product.  “Cookies” are small text files that recognize repeat visitors, facilitate ongoing access to some sites, and allow sites to understand how and when pages are visited and by how many people.  Except for personal information voluntarily provided by you (i.e., during any registration process), we do not use information transferred through cookies for promotional or marketing purposes, and that information is not shared with third parties.

How We Protect Your Information:
We understand that the protection of your nonpublic personal information is of the utmost importance. Guarding your privacy is our obligation.  HPB&T takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access through the use of network firewalls, secure servers, and physical security.  Through the use of procedures and policies, we restrict employee access to customer information only to those who have a business reason to know such information, and we educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
